First round table for artistic research on February 27, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. in Leipzig.

The aim of this new format is to bring together Leipzig-based artists and other stakeholders and to create a regular meeting place where current issues, projects, and methods in the field of artistic research can be discussed. One focus is on the question of the role and function of artistic research as a genre of art in social contexts—especially in times of volatile upheaval. To what extent does collaboration with other disciplines give rise to new forms of knowledge acquisition? And what new forms of publicity and becoming public can be made productive in the field of research-based arts? All topics will always be discussed in a practice-oriented manner. The meeting will take place on February 27, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. in a former store in the Grünau district of Leipzig. Please register in advance at info@emanuelmathias.com.
